Long Time!

I certainly haven't posted on xanga in a long time and I thought it might be time for a little update on what is going on in my life!! This past summer I had an internship with Procter & Gamble and was invited back to work there full-time, which I accepted. Come the end of June I will be starting my career after getting back from a two week trip to Japan with my Mom . Even more importantly, I recently got engaged to the handsome Ben on the 11th of November and we will be getting married on June 21, 2008. I'm so excited and was completely surprised at the timing of everything, I couldn't be happier .

As far as New Year's resolutions go, this year I am aiming to take better care of myself by taking my calcium pills, exercising, and getting a lot more sleep !

Sending all of my favorites big HUGS!

Well now I have to have kids!

My fellow xangan, MooseMax, a long time ago made the controversial comment that conservative women are much better looking than liberal women. Well of course I agree, but I also keep coming back to this particular article from opinion journal that talks about the fertility gap between liberals and conservatives.

Big surprise, conservatives are kicking liberals' rears to the curb when it comes to busting out babies. It seems those frightening liberals are afraid of overpopulation and care about respecting the environment from our "wanton reproduction". I say it's because they enjoy murdering babies a little too much when they actually do find someone equally unfortunate looking to finally sleep with them. Thank goodness for beer goggles!

I'm not truly a proponent of natural selection (but I just can't help myself). . . looks like liberalism might slowly become extinct thanks to the miracle of life.

Yeah, and for all of you who thought I'd never want to have kids someday . . .watch out, I'm going to have ten and I hope they turn out just as amazing as their conservative Mommy and Daddy.

I love reading Ann's column every week.

Does anyone else remember being forced to read articles in history by Howard Zinn? At the time I thought he was negative and probably a leftist, then later on I discovered my prediction was right!

Righteous Anger

Yesterday I watched a good portion of the Khatami speech on C-SPAN. The JFK School of Government at Harvard invited a truly evil man that was nothing more than a malicious, hateful, and radical dictator during his time as "president" of Iran. He refused to directly answer the extremely pointed questions coming from the audience, although not surprising. If individuals can't see through his rehtoric of "peace" and "ethics" then I feel that they are putting themselves in danger and perhaps even the rest of America. The "ethics" of his time in Iran included defending the murder and rape of women, having homosexuals put death, and plenty of other disgusting actions that continue on. To watch his body language change, the way he smirked at audience members . . .ick, POISON, that's what it is. Truly sick.

I'm still outraged at 9/11. I find myself filled with a righteous anger and deep sadness at the same time. But, by the grace of God, I thank God everyday that America is still a pillar of strength and that I'm an American citizen. I'm proud of our bravery, I'm proud of the commitment to bringing freedom to the rest of the world.

Let freedom ring and let us never, never forget what happened five years ago lest we loose the meaning of what it is that we fight for everyday.

Someday, we all will have to give an account of our lives to God and I won't be sorry when the evil men of this world are cast away.

I'm still at work but I thought I'd make a quick post!

Today was my Final Review and it went splendidly.  Procter & Gamble gave me a full-time offer and I'll be getting all of my official paperwork within the next month or so.  !  I still plan to interview with other companies this Fall and yet, it's so nice to have that offer in my back pocket no matter what!  By December I will be all set for sure in my final plan.

This has been such an amazing summer.  I've had an outstanding job experience and also I was able to spend a ton of time with the love of my life .  Wowie, here's to a great Senior year and beyond.

  Yippy!
